Pump and filter media being inspected during a filtration review

Let your filtration work the way it's meant to

A thorough check of pump, media and flow, with a maintenance calendar you can actually follow afterwards.

Back to home

The promise

By the end of this session, your pump will have been opened and checked, filter media rinsed or replaced as needed, and flow measured against your pond's volume so turnover sits in a sensible range — with a maintenance calendar to help keep it that way.

The problem

Reduced flow, persistent cloudiness, or a pump that's grown noisier than it used to be are usually signs that something inside the system — impeller wear, a clogged intake, exhausted media, a clouded UV sleeve — is quietly working against you. These issues rarely announce themselves clearly, which is part of why they're easy to overlook until the water starts to show it.

The solution

The pump is drawn and opened to check the impeller and intake, filter chambers are opened and assessed, and foam or biological media is rinsed in pond water or replaced where it's broken down. Any UV clarifier is checked for lamp hours and sleeve clouding, then flow is measured and balanced against volume.

The experience

Sessions typically run two to three hours and unfold as a series of checks rather than a rushed swap of parts. We'll talk through what we find as we go, so nothing on the final summary comes as a surprise.

The investment

¥4,300

  • · Pump service and impeller check
  • · Media rinse or replacement
  • · UV clarifier check
  • · Measured turnover figure and maintenance calendar

Suited to systems roughly one to eight years old.

The proof

The measured turnover figure gives you something concrete to compare against next time flow feels off, rather than relying on memory alone. The maintenance calendar sets out what can reasonably be handled between visits and when a further session tends to be worthwhile.

The guarantee

If media needs full replacement rather than a rinse, or a part looks close to failing, we'll say so plainly rather than patching it quietly. A no-obligation conversation is available beforehand if you'd like to discuss your system first.

Next steps

Tell us what you've noticed — reduced flow, cloudiness, or noise — and roughly how long the system has been in place, and we'll arrange a suitable session.
